BLOG ON ATLAS SIGNS REFUSING TO PAY OUR COMPANY FOR WACHOVIA TO WELLS FARGO BANK SIGN TAKE DOWN AND INSTALLS

STILL NO PAYMENT FROM ATLAS SIGNS

Our company has done over $40,000 worth of work for Atlas Sign Industries of FLA, LLC and the company is refusing to pay or give any reason why they have put a "hold" on our invoices.  The attorney's letter refers to " readily available documents at hand" but they have yet to share them with us or even verbally tell us what the problem is.   If they are readily available then why did the attorney not fax them thru with the letter above ?

A payment of over $20,000.00 was due around August 16, 2011 and we never heard or received payment from them. Our terms were 60 days after completion so alot of this work was done in June. We completed the work, submitted all requirements and invoices only to find out 75 days later, they did not intend to pay us nor did they give us the courtesy of a call to advice there was a problem with any of our work. When we attempted to find out what the problem was, all we have been told by Tony is that there was a problem with our work and that Tracy had the information about the problem. We ask repeatedly to tell us what the problem was, where the problem was and to this date, September 13, 2011 we have been told nothing and no payments have been made as expected on August 16th.   Even the attorney's letter does not state the reason for not paying.  Our company is easy to work with and would have been happy to fix any issues but Atlas Signs will not communicate if there is a problem and instead just holds your payment with no explanation.

I posted this information on the Sign Syndicate and am in the process of filing liens to collect against Atlas Signs and Wells Fargo. Finally after this posting, I got a response from Atlas Signs, from their attorney threatening to sue us for slander.
Last time I checked, slander is stating or writing false information. Nothing I have said is false. We are owed over $40,000 from this company and want paid. Maybe $40,000 is not much to Atlas Signs but to a small sign contracting company such as ours, it's causes major financial problems and we intend to collect what is owed to us. 60 days is already to long to wait to be paid for a completed job and certainly ample time for this company to inform us of any problem if it existed.

The letter above is the recent and only response we have gotten from this company, other than Tony telling us he would look into it. Take a minute and read it.  I want the world to know how this company operates so you can make an informed decision if you want to do business with this company as a vendor or customer.    As for me- not ever again over my dead body!  OPM- Other Peoples Money.- this company capitalizes on letter subcontractors. They should change their name to  OPM Sign Industries !
